Are there any nice online game communities?

I don't care if it's a MMO or not. I got WoW again only to find out all my 'friends' have either left or are so far beyond they want nothing to do with me. Lower level areas are even more rare, and people do not group at all now, not even for group quests! What the hell happened?! :( Don't tell me to look for people IRL because I live in a very screwed up small town, hence why I look for friends online.Any online games with strong friendly communities? lotr:Online . :)
become a reg at a server at cs:s, youll find some cool people.
Team Fortress 2 has a great community.
Counter-Strike.

I agree lotro has an awesome, yet restriced community. I say restricted because I did not meet a lot of players during my newbie level (1-10) and even after 10 it's hard to find anyone and I am (in theory) playing on the third biggest server. It's probably because the game is so big
WWII Online
TF2.. easily.. :)

This. You don't tend to get trolls in this game.
I think TF2 is a great idea. Find a smaller community with a server and get to know people. I have had far more luck meeting people in this way than in mmo's. Specifically I would recommend either Feared Gamers or Jiggly's Fun House to meet good people and have fun with.
