Splinter Cell..... controls.... or lack there of?

I recently bought Splinter Cell and Double Agent off of Steam, to try and get into the series after seeing Conviction at E3.... I played a bit of Splinter Cell years ago on my Original XBOX, and I remember being able to throw items to distract people in order to be able to sneak around.... however for some reason, I cannot figure out how to do it with the PC version..... I can pick up a can.... but all i can do with it, is drop it to the ground at my feet.I checked the control options (where there is no option to use a controller BAH)... and there is no key for ''throw item'' or anything of that sort...so as stupid of a question as this is..... could someone who has played this, please tell me, How can I throw an item?Splinter Cell..... controls.... or lack there of?
Have you tried the mouse for throwing?



I can't exactly remember how I used to do it, it's been quite a while since I last played Double Agent.



And I didn't pick it up on Steam, because it's the most bugged and unstable Splinter Cell made so far (for the PC), which is quite a shame.Splinter Cell..... controls.... or lack there of?
With the object in your hand, press E to aim. That's how you throw grenades too.

press ''e'' and aim it, and throw. Just like a grenade.
space bar to pick it up, E to aim, LMB to throw.
I was having trouble with this too. You can also click the mouse wheel in.

make up application
