http://canirunit.comCan I run it? Left 4 Dead (Follow up from The Last Remnant thread)
I don't know can you?http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtestMinimum:
  • OS: Windows XP, Vista, Vista64
  • CPU: 3.0 GHz P4, Dual Core 2.0 or AMD64X2 (or higher)
  • RAM: 1 GB for XP / 2GB for Vista
  • Disc drive: DVD-ROM Drive
  • Hard drive: At least 7.5 GB of free space
  • Video: Direct X 9 compatible video card - Video card must be 128 MB or more and should be a DirectX 9-compatible with support for pixel shader 2.0 (ATI 9600 or high. Or, Nvidia 6600 or higher)
  • Sound: Direct X9.0c compatible sound card

no you cannot.
No it wont run, my friend runs Left 4 Dead at the lowest possible spec on a 2.8Ghz Pentium 4, 1GB RAM, Windows XP and a bad video card. It's a miracle he can actually play, you don't have a chance in hell with a 2.4Ghz CPU.
As much as I hate to say this, I think its time for a new PC.
No. And don't bother trying to run any of todays games with that PC.You best buy a budget gaming PC for your needs.
The magic 8 ball says no ...
You've made a few threads about whether you can run a game, for one you can go to systemrequirement labs to check it out ... but by the sounds if you need to spend some coin and get a new pc.
Borrowed it from my mate.

Ran it.

1280 by 1024.

Avg fps in combat @ 35

Settings @ low, 'cept textures @ medium.

Wtf indeed.

This desktop 'tis only temporary, waiting for my dad to pay me out 800 quid, then i'm getting a laptop from new egg, hopefully my mum'll send it to me or bring it with her on her next visit.
A laptop isn't very good for gaming at all , a desktop is alot better for gaming .

You can't say that with no knowledge of which one i'm getting.

But i'll fill you in and probably make you feel a bit ignorant.

3.2Ghz Quad Core

6GB Ram

9800GTX Nvidia SLi

Windows Vista Ultimate 360GB Hard Drive.

(I love new egg)

15.4'' screen (so it's still a laptop)
Just go to taht website that i mentioned in the last thread. http://www.systemrequirementslab.com/referrer/srtestYou tell it what game you want to see if your computer can run, and it takes a few seconds, then tells you if you meet the minimum requirements or not.

Thats gonna drain ALOT of power , you'll have to have the powercable in all the time , Anyway it's a nice find for such a cost .

I applaud you .

WHY IS EVERYONE SO BLIND!

Read my last post showing what spec my laptop is.

I got that for 12 hundred dollars, 700 quid.

Do you feel stupid?!

Yes, yes you do.

The same specification desktop would have cost me 2,500 dollars, like you said the laptop would have costed.

It's not very hard finding amazing computers or laptops for low prices, you just need to look around.

Not everything amazing's found on dell.com or alienware.

And i can't imagine myself paying 400% worth the price of hardware for having SONY written on the side, it's not worth crap.

Also, '...can be continually upgraded with new graphics cards...' etc etc.

Then why does everyone tell me to buy a new computer? XD

Cos: my old pc failed, yet it could play most of todays games (for reasons i don't quite understand, maybe it was in trance.)

(if i sounded like i was flaming in my last post: i aplogise, i just stepped on a lego by accident, lol)

What are you smoking? far from it.

You're buying a normal laptop and you're recommending high priced ones like Alienware that are comparable to MACs? Not every PC is a MAC, Dell, etc. And FYI a PC with similar hardware, with a 22' LCD monitor and 1tb HDD, would cost around 900-1000$ , so what 2.5K$? stop getting ''facts'' out of nowhere.

Lol, yeah it does :/

I'm using a 12-cell ion battery, so i can use it for around 3-5 hours without an adapter in, so i guess it don't fail that much XD

And the laptop was a good find, find me better for less a' price and i'll congrulate you; but for now, i'm happy with it. It can run games of this era, so its uses are fufilled. And i very much doubt you could get a desktop of that specification for 600 quid, VERY MUCH. *inhales deeply* VEEERRR-EEEEHH MUCCHHHHH! >_
