Penumbra Overture has some of the best lighting i've ever seen

I'm floored by the lighting effects in this game! the lighting looks even better then in far cry 2 or crysis, and it really complements the atmosphereand it (and the two other games i haven't installed yet) were only $5 total :|best steam deal ever!!!!Penumbra Overture has some of the best lighting i've ever seen
How low do you have your gamma set? I'm not sure how low it is supposed to be played at. For instance, when I'm where the storage room and the locked door is am I meant to be able to see without my flashlight?Penumbra Overture has some of the best lighting i've ever seen
Thanks for the heads up bud, ive never played any of these games before. Might check em out now.
You should. Unique experience. Good atmosphere.
Scariest game ever made, that's for sure.

i have gamma at the default, which i think is about 1

i can see pretty well without any items, so i might lower it. i've gotten pretty into it, but i've never used anything other then my glowstick and one flare (i have 100% battery life cause i've never used the flashlight)

oh but there seems to be a grain filter, though a very basic one....everyone keeps telling me there isn't one...but there has to be....i mean, it looks too perfect to just be a weird glitch...

I did a google search. It has a ''sublte film grain.'' It's nothing drastic like Mass Effect though.
