(Sims 3) Problem with entering my house

okay, i've created sims, and bought a lot, and have even started building a house (foundation, walls, floor, and a door); but EVERYTIME i tell them to enter it they can't, or don't listen. How the heck to I get them to go into their own house? I've clicked on that button that brings the view all the way down to the floor, and what not, still nothing.... what should I do?(Sims 3) Problem with entering my house

Try turning off free will completely or build a new way to get in your home.
