FEAR 1 by FAR, FEAR 2 is way too cartoony, just finished playing the demo and IT SUCKED!!

I don't like the stupid hud in fear 2.
This is pretty sad, we better get used to PC games being crappy ports from now on :(
at least post pics that are similar to each other. why not include some bullet holes and dead bodies from FEAR 2? thats like comparing an indoor shot from an outdoor shot and asking which looks better.



the HUD is cool, its different, it actually looks like your looking out of a facemask that a soldier would be wearing.
Fear 1. Not much for the style of FEAR 2.
I agree at least give us some similar looking screens. And to all the people saying it has a cartoony look, where is it at? I played through the demo and nothing looked cartoony at all, unless you consider rooms filled with blood and hanging bodies ''cartoony''. And the art direction is fine with me as well, little brighter then the first but that's cool world can't be all gloom and doom.
speaking of the gamma correction in FEAR 2, does FEAR 2 use Bloom? i dont think Bloom was around for the first FEAR. i know that makes everything illuminate. the ''cartoony'' look i believe is brought upon because of the HUD.

Ok.. Serioulsy guys it is painfully odvious how much better looking FEAR 2 is to FEAR.. FEAR is around 4 to 5 years old.. Seriously give it a rest.. If you are this blind that FEAR is a better looking game than the second one, you need glasses.. Or a computer upgrade.

Or a computer upgrade.[/QUOTE] I have played the first game and I have played the demo, the specs in my sig should tell you that I'm maxing the demo with 4X AA and 16x AF.I am telling you right now that I prefer the graphics in the first FEAR. Prefer as in preference, because I just don't like the way FEAR 2 looks and sounds.
Actually I think FEAR2 looks a lot better, including the hud.
