STALKERs

I have STALKER:SOC, and I am wondering, since the graphics on SoC are really good, and the game is quite unique, is Clear Sky just as good, as in, should I get it? Would it be worth $35? What is different, or better, or worse? Thanks for your input.STALKERs
Its not as good but it looks better and the shooting is slightly more fun.STALKERs
Its not as good but it looks better and the shooting is slightly more fun.
Thanks, yea, I'm playing Stalker SoC again, and the shooting is a bit...weird. That is good news that it is more fun in the second.
How is the shooting more fun?

Does it freeze when you approach an area where u put yo stash?
I like SoC much better :) So go get it :)
I like SoC much better :) So go get it :)
Why do you like it much better? And if I already have it, I don't need to get it.

SoC is all about the survival horror aspect, nights are not nearly as scary in CS because of the lack of mutants (it follows the story) hence prequel. The AI (enemy soldiers) are still plentiful and still hard to kill. So if you don't mind the lack of mutants and zombies in CS, then I'd say go ahead and get it. Likely you won't be dissappointed since you did like SoC enough to play it again. ;) It all comes down to personal preference really, if you care to know the events leading up to Shadow of Chernobyl, then get CS for sure. The atmosphere is still intact in CS. As far as graphics go, now that SoC has so many mods available I'd say they are equal in the graphics department. You just need to dig around a bit to get those SoC mods. Clear Sky also has (out of the box) has people that will repair you armor and weapons, plus through your progression through game you will also be able to upgrade you weapons and armor too. Joining factions is also readily available in CS. Me personally I like SoC better (more mods, more replay value etc), but that being said CS is a welcome addition to the STALKER universe and I am glad I got it. Great game as well! :D

Hunting for artifacts is fun imo. ;)Unlike in SoC you just see them on the ground easily available.

because many people (including myself) disable the crosshair in stalker as it ruins the immersion.

The iron sights for the pistol were terrible. Your enemys would shoot much better and more accurate then you if you were trying to slowly use the crappy sights.

They work fine for me.Plus as earlier poster said, crosshairs sorta ruin the immersion for some folks while playing STALKER. Like me ;)
