DOW2 or empire total war?

Right, I have played both demos for the games and liked them both. I loved how epic empire was (how big do the battles get?) The Graphics were great etc etc. However I also really enjoyed DOW2 I loved the 'style' of the visuals and the fast gameplay. So i thought with my exams nearly over I would get myself a new game pretty soon....tough time deciding between these two.

Any input would be great :)DOW2 or empire total war?

My vote goes to DoW2...I dunno, empire didn't quite do it for me personally, definately not like Rome: Total War did. Lack of Base building could be viewed by many as a huge setback for the DoW franchise but idk, I still enjoyed it a lot.
Both :P DoW2's campaign is awesome, I'm on my second playthrough, and Empire total War's grand Campaign will entertain you for 100s of hours.
DOW2 is really fun, I'm not big into RTS games but this one has me hooked. I like the fast game play and RPG elements and single player campaign.
The AI has always been terrible in combat in the Total War series. It's so easy to rope the computer's units into hopeless situations in that series that I have to recommend DOW2 even though I've never played it.

Square formation = 90% of situations solved.
Gonna throw another voice in for DoW: 2 - the game is awesome, lack of save anywhere takes some getting used to (I liked being able to save before large battles) but the War Gear system adds so much and the squad system and squad leader system are just great. Story line isn't too bad either (though they showed the leader of DOW wearing a heavy bolder rather than wearing his SM commanders armor and wielding his Power Sword and Bolt Pistol)
DoW2.. For completely different reasons.. The singleplayer is ok.. But the multiplayer is intense and fun against the auto match system for people on line.
ETW for SP, DoW2 for MP, but overall ETW is better.
Empire Total War, one of the best games I have ever played.

That's not exactly what I generally do, but it's still too easy.
Well i just ordered DOW2 as it was only ?4.99 - quite the bargain
Dow2 is really great but it get boring in the end. ETW is way better.
You won't be dissapointed with either honestly. My vote would probably go to Empire: Total War since I'm still playing it.
