Aion Hype thread (56k - beware)

Been looking into this game since I saw the trailer on gametrailers earlier and I never did get into World of Worldcraft but this game has my attention. So who else is interested and getting this game? also any news on monthly fee's and such? if so how much?I know this game looks great and I believe uses the Crytec engine (speeling? lol) also the characters are extremely customizable in this game as well with different classes, the game isn't out yet so I dont have much info on it although I do believe its out in asia already and closed beta testing going on for North Americans.here are a few screen shots which are taken from the website: http://www.aiononline.com/usAion Hype thread (56k - beware)
Yeah Aion is kindof a big deal, check out the PC forums for it.Right now it's released in Korea and China, still waiting on NA release.. but they use a different billing system ($/hr/month). i also want to preorder the limited edition from gamestop for 69.99 and if I preorder online and not pay till i pick it up do I still get the bonus items for preordering? like the early access and special items?source: Linky
im looking foward to it the graphics are nice it uses the cryengine 1 the same one used for farcry so will look good and run great on current hardware.

So which class do u prefer to create your character as?1. Warrior2. Scout3. Mage4. Priestmyself will probably be a scout which are less brutish than warriors and depend on skill and speed.

That's september.. Quite some time.. Do you guys think this will be the ''wow killer' or no?
If it's released in Korea and China I'm willing to bet one of my balls that you'll do nothing but grinding 15 minutes in the game.

They are gonna face alot of heat from alot of new MMO's rolling out of Korea. But I've heard that MMO demand in Korea is starting to drop with the onset of StarCraft II's release...
how is this different than any other mmo ? After playing guild wars and WoW I feel like everything else is almost like a lesser copy.
That looks like crap. Age of Conan looks 10x better.
I can't get into the hype for this game. Alot of my friends are excited about it, but it reminds me an awfully lot of guild wars, which I didn't enjoy, and they charge a subscription for it. I'll have to wait for a trial.
